WingChun Tonbridge was established in 2015 and is run by instructors Mark and Colin.

The Tonbridge academy offers WingChun lessons to adults in a fun and professional environment.

The adults evening class runs every Thursday in the Scout Hut (1st Tonbridge scout hall) just off of Tonbridge High street on Lamberts Yard.  You do not need to have had any previous martial arts experience or any particular level of fitness.  Equally those that are experienced martial artists from other styles are also welcome to join and to find out more about this art.

What is WingChun?

What will I learn?

You will learn the essential self-defence skills needed to help you protect yourself and your family in a physical situation.  You will gain in confidence as your skills and coordination builds.  You will gain strength throughout your body and become mentally and physically resilient.

How much are the lessons?

The monthly cost is £35.00 This allows you to attend one class per week.

Is there a free trial lesson?

Yes, every new student is entitled to their first lesson free at all of our academies. 

What do I need to wear?

For new students arriving to their first lesson you need to simply wear comfortable sport clothing.  Once you are happy with the class and would like to continue to train at the academy then WingChun clothing is on offer to buy.

Do I need to bring anything?

No, all you need to bring along for your first lesson is yourself and the willingness to learn.  All equipment like pads will be available to use.

How long are the lessons?

Each lesson is an hour and a half long

What time does the lesson start?

The lessons promptly at 7:30pm

When are the lessons?

The adults classes are every Thursday evening from 7:30pm.

When can I come along?

Please make contact with the instructor before you plan to come along to ensure it is okay for new students to take part as there maybe grading classes or special classes happening on that day.

Can I bring my friend or family along with me?

Yes absolutely!  All friends and family are also welcome to join.  Please let the instructor aware of who to expect on your first lesson by filling in our contact form below.

Is there parking?

The is plenty of parking outside the Scout hall in Lamberts Yard car park.  Parking is free from 6pm!  The road to get into the car park is via River Lawn road.
